Dr. Nkiru Smith, DNP FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, is a dually board-certified family nurse practitioner and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I have been a nurse for the past two decades. I have worked in different healthcare settings, including critical care units, medical-surgical units, MAT, and outpatient, residential psychiatric mental facilities. As a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I aim to ease suffering and pain. Each patient requires an individualized treatment approach. I provide warm, friendly, competent, and compassionate care in the office or telehealth.

I provide initial assessment and diagnosis for patients six years and above with ADD/ADHD, PTSD, mood disorders, and many other psychiatric conditions. Being a certified Family Nurse Practitioner allows me to provide holistic care that includes considering their medical condition. My treatment approach varies and includes lifestyle changes, medication, and supportive therapy.

- Provided psychiatric and crisis intervention to the Residential Treatment Center, Group Homes, Therapeutic Foster-care, the Exceptional Service Program for children and adolescent.
- Provided psychotropic medication management, psychiatric assessments and evaluations, diagnosis and treatment, individual, group, and family therapy.
- Maintained 24-hour beeper coverage.
- Participated in the multidisciplinary team meetings, Policy and Procedure Committee, PEM Training, NP/MD Consortium.
- Responsible for the 24- hour oversight of the medical and mental and the residential treatment center.

Judith Akoh-Arrey is a compassionate, and self-motivated individual with a commitment to provide client-centered and quality individualized care to adolescents and adults with mental health problems.

Her services include evaluating, treating and managing psychiatric disorders which include but not limited to Depression, Anxiety, Attention Deficient Hyperactive Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Personality Disorders, Mood Disorders, Eating Disorders and Schizophrenia.

She is passionate about helping people with alcohol, drug and substance use addictions using medications such as Suboxone, Subutex, Vivitrol, Sublocade and Naltrexone.

Judith prides herself in motivating her clients to make small but positive changes and strives to build long lasting relationship with each of her clients. She believes her expertise in managing the physical, mental and social needs of clients with mental health issues would continue to be of value to all clients.

Judith obtained her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification from Liberty University in 2021 and MSc. in Nursing with certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Walden University in 2019. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in 1998 from University of Maryland.

Tanya Bell-Whiting began her career three decades ago, including working as a head nurse, facility administrator, and regional operations director. Most recently she has worked as a Home Therapy Nurse and takes pride in providing quality care and treatment for her patients.
